Day 33 – Heading for a Month of no Smoking

I’ve really had nothing new to report in the last several days on the not smoking front.

I still haven’t felt the need for a cigarette, I’m still using the SkyCig, and am still working my way through the different flavours of e-liquid I got from Vape Escape.

One thing I have noticed over the last few days is that I have been coughing quite a bit, a really deep-in-the-lung kind of cough that hits me suddenly, then I feel no problems until it strikes again.

I’ve also been coughing up gunk when I wake in the morning.

I don’t know whether this is down to my lungs starting to recover and clean themselves, or down to the e-cig or the liquid irritating my lungs.

I’ll report back on this over the next few days.

Anyway, it’s almost a month and that’s great, a real achievement for this 40-a-day smoker.

About Me

My name is Dave and I live in England in the UK. I’ve been a 40 a day smoker for over 20 years, and I’ve decided that I need to stop smoking. But wanting to stop is nothing new for me. In the past I’ve tried just about everything to quit including nicotine patches, gum, lozenges, an inhalator, Zyban, Champix, and even hypnosis – and up to now nothing has worked. I did even try will power once but that only lasted for about 3 minutes! I don’t know why I’ve found it so tough to give up cigarettes in the past.
